Choose the right location for your hiking. Because you are walking at night, keep your backpack organized. That will help you to find your things quickly when you need them. When your bag is held, you know where you keep your gears, so you can easily find it. Bring a cell phone when you are hiking at night. You can also use a two-way radio to reach people. It will be wise if you hike at night with groups or several peoples. You will have some extra confidence, and you will feel positive. 4.  Have some safety and essential tools:

Keep some safety tools with you like a knife, GPS, lighter. GPS will show you the map of your hiking area. In this way, you will not get lost and stay safe. Have a lighter or fire making instrument. When you are hiking at night, you just need to get rest or need a tent for sleep. Always keep lighter to make fire. You need fire to cook food, keep yourself warm, and keep yourself safe from wild animals. You also need a hiking pole. Hiking poles are not for only day hiking. You need them most at night hiking.

You could not see correctly, so for walking carefully and for not falling over a rock or something, always keep your hiking pole with you. You need a torch, headlight, headlamp, or flashlight. Whatever, you prefer for yourself for night hiking. Make yourself comfortable with the full-moon light. But keep your light downwards. In this manner, you can see correctly and keep yourself safe. 5.  Walk carefully and gently:

Always walk slowly or gently and carefully when you are hiking at full-moon night. Wild animals have more eyesight power than human. They can see further than humans. Hiking The West Coast Beach in Barbuda




Introduction: Barbuda is a small island in the eastern Caribbean forming part of Antigua and Barbuda. It is in the northern side of Antigua. And it’s a part of Leeward Islands’. Due to its mild environment and coastline, the island is a famous tourist destination.


The West Coast beach in Barbuda is not overcrowded and noisy like an average Caribbean Sea beach. It is a single 11-mile long beach only accessible by boat or by walking all the way around from the south end. The Island of Barbuda offers plenty of hiking opportunities as the big tourism industry has not arrived there yet.

1) Preparation: Bring all that you need from Antigua, as you will not discover anything accessible at the shoreline. There's no place to buy food or get water on the beach. There are two or three cabins, yet they are out of service often. Get enough food, water, camping, and cooking gear before planning a hike in Barbuda.

2) Best time for hiking: Summer is the best season for hiking in Barbuda. During June-September, there are a lot of turtles around, and it is one of the main attractions of this sea beach. Raining chances are also low during this time. For a pleasant and safe trip, this season is the best.

3) Duration and Cost: At least 3days/2 nights are needed to hike through the entire coast and return. It will cost 100$ per person for a return ticket from there. Check and confirm Barbuda's boat schedule as it doesn't operate daily. You can walk from where the boat drops you off.

4) Review: It is one of the most beautiful natural sea beaches without any doubt. It has crystal clear water, amazing white sand, and absolute wild peace. There is rarely any visitor so that one can enjoy the harmony of nature peacefully.

Between June-September is the mating season for the leatherback turtles. At night, leatherback tortoises come out of the water to lay their eggs on the sand during this time. The sand is flat and without any lights on the West Coast of Barbuda. It is an excellent place for the turtles to lay their eggs safely. If lucky enough, you may spot turtles here during your trip. This coast is entirely unspoiled, which is the best thing about it. It offers nature's true beauty and purity, which calms the heart of the visitors.

The coast of Barbuda is deserted natural heaven. The water is crystal clear, and the sand is very soft. It is so quiet and peaceful around the beach. You can walk on flour-like sand beaches for hours without seeing anyone else or disturbing yourself. You can sense the warmth, subtle nature of the water when it hits your body.



There are a few minor problems of hiking in this paradise. There are no shade and vendors on this island. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and mosquito net. Mosquito gives a lot of trouble here around the time of sunrise and sunset. For proper hiking on this beach, the backpack will become a bit heavy.
